Art Raffle Pre-Order Ticket (2-for-1 Special!!)

Please note this painting is currently an UNFINISHED WIP/Work in Progress. This is good for TWO raffle tickets for the price of one to win this painting when it IS finished!! (I am currently traveling).

This will be an oval-shaped painting of my interpretation of the Three of Swords Tarot card. The last photo in this shows the original Rider Waite Smith illustration, the others are my unfinished interpretation of it.

I will be adding more detail and the swords, in metal leaf, which I will be taking some creative liberty on while still remaining true to the original archetype.

I have wanted to raffle off a painting for a while now and knew this would be the perfect one. This has been a very Three of Swords year for me, of sorrow. I am doing this to raise money to get out of my current situation, while creating and spreading beauty rather than just starting a GoFundMe.

In February of this year I moved into an apartment that ended up being riddled with mold. I got very sick and lost almost all of my possessions, including a lot of my paintings and all of my furniture. For months I have been living out of plastic bins and sleeping on a foldout bed at a friend’s place trying to rebuild my life. I ended up moving into ANOTHER moldy apartment somehow right after, a studio, and that is what wiped me out financially.

I am starting my life over at the cusp of my 40th birthday. The Three of Swords is the card of sorrow.

This will be able to be hung upright or in the reverse, as the reversal can indicate healing after sorrow.

After I finish this painting I will change this post so it is only worth one raffle ticket per purchase. This is your opportunity to get 2-for-1, have twice the chance at winning, and taking a chance on my artistic vision. I know I will do this justice.
